Santa, What’s in Your Boots? started as a silly little question that popped into my head while watching the kids inspect their stockings last year.

They weren’t looking at the tree or the presents. They were staring at their shoes and giggling, convinced Santa might’ve left something small and secret in there too.

That moment stuck with me. Kids don’t overthink. They play, they imagine, they create their own magic.

So I thought, that’s a fun Christmas song!

I wanted something light, catchy, and fun. A tune that feels like a warm acoustic jam you can sing with your family while the BBQ’s going and the pavlova’s chilling in the fridge.

Something simple enough for kids to memorise and cheeky enough that adults can’t help humming along.

The idea of Santa having a little “boot stash” felt perfect for this season — playful, curious, and full of that gentle wonder that makes Christmas special.

So the song became a little story about shaking Santa’s boots, guessing what’s inside, and letting your imagination run wild.

It’s all about joy, simplicity, and the fun of not knowing.

As you know by now, we live simplicity and music doesn’t need to be complicated to lift the mood.

Sometimes, a light rhythm, a happy hook, and a sprinkle of Christmas magic is all you need.
