However, within minutes, our little one became unusually quiet, succumbing to the heat and starting to doze off. These pools, nestled amidst the hotel’s lush gardens, were intended to be a refreshing retreat from the tropical heat. However, during our stay, the pools were undergoing maintenance, and we weren’t able to experience them firsthand.
However, in a generous display of hospitality, Tanoa Tusitala Hotel offered us a day pass to use the infinity pool at the most luxurious resort on the island – Taumeasina Island Resort. This was a chance to experience a slice of luxury we hadn’t anticipated. We were overjoyed and immensely grateful for this unexpected treat. Our day at Taumeasina Island Resort was nothing short of spectacular, and it added a touch of magic to our Samoan holiday.
For those who like to stay active, the hotel also features a fitness centre and tennis courts. And for our little explorer, the on-site playground was a fantastic way to burn off some energy.
When it came to services, the Tanoa Tusitala Hotel had us covered. With laundry service, room service, and a 24-hour front desk, we were assured that all our needs would be taken care of, any time of the day or night.

Our mornings began with a hearty buffet breakfast at the hotel. The selection was impressive, with a range of hot dishes available and omelettes made on request. The staff here adored children and showered our baby with attention, making her mornings extra joyful.
The Main Restaurant, one of the hotel’s dining highlights, offers a delightful array of local and international dishes. Dining here was not just about the food, but also about the ambience. The restaurant overlooks the hotel’s lush tropical gardens, providing a beautiful backdrop for our meals.
The Deck Bar was our go-to spot after exploring Apia. With a wide selection of drinks, including local beers and tropical cocktails, it was the perfect place to unwind. As I was breastfeeding at the time, I enjoyed a delicious mocktail that was just as refreshing as the rest.
Unfortunately, we missed out on the FiaFia Show, a vibrant cultural event held at the hotel every Wednesday. We hadn’t aligned our stay with this event, but it’s something we’ll definitely keep in mind for our next visit. Despite this, we found our own relaxation in the tranquil evenings by the pool bar.
